I am having a nice cup of tea (Ganotea, what else?) and anticipating the arrival of Kevin & Rachel today sometime. We won't see them until tomorrow, but we had a fun time with them in Salem this past weekend. We attended Rachel's brother's wedding and I even danced with Kevin at the reception. (He pulled me into it, so typical Kevin!) (Kev & Rachel in dance mode ...he with his arm up and she in purple dress with arm up).
"May our homes be filled with dancing
may our streets be filled with joy.
May injustice bow to Jesus
as the people turn to pray."
(From: Hear Our Praises)

It was a really fun time and we enjoyed seeing our little grandson as well. Here is Daddy Kevin with son Isaac in a moment of contemplation! Kevin, being the youngest of six, didn't have the experience of caring for younger siblings while growing up so now that he has a little one of his own he is learning what all is entailed with caring for a little one. He has taken to being Daddy to this little boy of his like a duck to water. He takes him for strolls in the stroller and plays with him, feeds and changes his diapers too. Makes me so proud of him and reminds me of my own sweet and caring Daddy.
Dad's are really important in a childs life and I would encourage more, who become fathers, to really take the role seriously. Be involved. Be a mentor, but for the right reasons. Little people imitate all that we, as parents, do so we need to be careful what we do so as not to cause them to stumble. With Father's Day coming up next Sunday it is a good reminder to encourage all Dads and to support them as much as possible. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in our family...Bob, my hubby, Kevin, Nik & Steve and their Dad's for raising great son's to be great Dad's too. And a Happy Father's Day to Naomi's Daddy too.May Jesus be each Dad's mentor and example.
"Train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it." (Psalms 22:6)
Such cute pictures. You're doing a great job keeping your blog up. I can tell that you like to write. Have a wonderful day! - Stephanie
