My mother's family came from Canada. It is like my second home. Mom was born in Nova Scotia and came west in 1910 to Vancouver, B.C. After she and my Dad were married she came to the United States and became a naturalized citizen. My beloved Grandparents lived in Canada so we would go to visit them often and I have many precious memories of many vacations spent with them every summer. I enjoyed spending time with my cousins, Pene and Poppe and my aunt and uncle too. Since then I have found more of my family heritage online going back to Ireland and Scotland. I even discovered cousins I didn't know I had and have been in contact with several of them and have learned so much more about my mother's family history. I have made several wonderful friends there too.
So to all my Canadian cousins and friends: Happy Canada Day to you all! Sorry I missed the day. Got a little bit mixed up there. : ) But my sentiments are the same.
